In 2017, we took the important decision to develop and implement our own best in class in-house technology capability. Now in its fifth year, our technology department continues to deliver high quality, efficient, scalable, dependable, and cost-effective solutions to help drive the business and our clients.

In 2020, we established our inaugural Analytical Intelligence Competency Centre (AICC) to drive meaningful and lasting change throughout the business.
By leveraging our enhanced cloud capabilities, we have been able to pioneer an entirely new and efficient way to carry out our activities. This has been achieved through the development of an Interactive Institutional dashboard as well as business risk assessment and client centricity tool. Our focused applications of AI highlights correlations in data that may not be visible to the human eye.
Our rapid delivery model uses re-usable modular software to integrate data through standardised Application Program Interfaces (APIs) which gives us the ability to deliver products faster to market than any standard delivery system.

Re-platforming our Enterprise Data to Snowflake
Snowflake is a cloud-based solution that allows rapid processing and storing of high volumes of complex data. It enhances productivity and efficiency and is specifically designed to support newer technologies like AI and Machine Learning. Snowflake is now helping us to accelerate our implementation of Artificial Intelligence across the business. AI is a huge growth area for our industry, and we are proud to say we have been one of the market leaders in AI and fund management.
Data Monetisation Strategy
As part of our data monetization strategy, we are now developing two ground-breaking programmes to complement our first Interactive Institutional Funds Dashboard:
MedBRAT – a business risk assessment tool
Client Centricity – tool focusing on adding value to the end investor
Both will leverage our cloud platform's use of data science allowing us to add business insights into the hidden trends in data. These tools are delivered using an agile software delivery framework which repeatedly re-uses small generic modules, delivering significant levels of productivity and return on investment.
